There Are Two Ways to Make Your Own Cards

When you begin to think about sending someone you know print Axis and Allies cards, you'll discover basketball cards there are more creative ways to send greeting cards than just picking up something at the store. Why not make your own cards to send on the holidays?

Making greeting cards can 1959 Topps baseball cards a fun and creative way of letting your loved ones know that you care, sending something special, while also going easy on your budget. There are two separate ways to make your own cards. One is by making handmade greeting cards and the other is by making internet greeting cards. If you are more inclined to working with your hands then you'll probably lean towards handmade greeting cards. However, if you like a sleek, store bought look then you'll probably lean towards print greeting cards. Its lots of fun and a great way to occupy the over active minds of the kids.

For handmade greeting cards, you'll want lots of fun decorative supplies. Using glitter, colored pencils, and even arts and crafts cutouts to make your own cards is a great way to get the kids involved in making something fun and unique for the lucky friend or family member. Plus, you can also use stencils and ink printing to decorate the greeting card envelope.

If you are going to have a go at making your own cards then there are some basic supplies you will need to get started:

  • A Digital Camera
  • Card stock
  • A computer and printer
  • Adhesive patterns
  • Glue
  • Markers
  • Ribbon
  • Stamps and ink
  • Stickers
  • Embellishments
  • Sharp knife and scissors
  • And of course some inspiration for design

Now if you don't want to make your own cards then Internet greeting cards can be sent through email or they can become print greeting cards. So if you really are running down to the last minute in creating greeting cards for that special someone you can always send them a card in the email.

If you still have some time though I suggest that you make your own card online and print it out to send in the mail. You'll be surprised at how well it turns out, especially if you have some good card stock and fresh ink cartridges in your printer. Go online and make your own cards by choosing everything from the font type and color to the images you want on the front and inside of the card, then print!
